New Dragon Quest IX Screens on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Square Enix has released a selection of new screens from the next Dragon Quest installment for DS, IX.

The fantastic looking Defenders of the Starry Sky is being developed exclusively for Nintendo's portable, due for release in Japan on March 28th, 2009.

Keeping a firm eye on this one. DQIX has been in development for an incredibly long time, it was announced way back in 2006 so i'm really anxious to see the final result. I expect this to cause such an uproar in japan once its released...

Agreed, it could go on to be one of the best selling DS titles in that region.

I'm sort of a fan, I guess. A game with this much effort definitely gets a purchase from me.

Yeah, they've been working on it forever. Hopefully it'll end up being worth it. Looks pretty good.

And it'll sell like mad. Best selling system + most popular Japanese franchise = insane sales.

Ditto. The only other games i hear around that take this long are zelda titles and look how they always turn out.

I hope the recently announced DQX for the Wii gets this much attention or more, and hopefully it'll implement some Wii-DS connectivity with DQIX
