New details have arisen for the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo, with a definite improvement over the last two shows.
The group in charge of what was once the Gaming Industry's most prolific event of the year, the Entertainment Software Association, have given a date and destination for 2009's show; on June 2nd, 3rd and 4th, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
In addition, although the event won't be open to the general public as previously rumoured, there will be a broader range of industry members allowed access, as well as non-ESA member organizations. Generally, booth sizes will be much bigger than in the last two years.
The E3 Expo will be the pre-eminent North American gaming show next year. The new, larger event is better for industry leaders and for serious gamers. - John Riccitiello, CEO of Electronic Arts
The video game business will be twice as big in 2009 as it was in 2006 when we had the last real E3 Expo - so get ready for some fireworks! - Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America
A list of the Publishers due to attend E3 has been revealed, although is subject to change. (spoilered for size)
Could these changes help restore E3 to its former glory?
