New Play Control Trailer for Metroid Prime Port on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have released some clips for the Wii Port of Metroid Prime, demonstrating the Corruption-like controls given to the classic title.

The game is currently being promoted in Japan, and is expected to cross the pond to Europe and the US very soon. It will have Widescreen support, and controls very-much like the third game in the Prime series.

Not interested unless some hidden goodies are added.

The control system looks great - just like Corruption's! Can't wait to see what other extras have been included...

The first priority my budget has at the moment is madworld.

This game is great though. I really want it, but would have to find the cash and time off the new games I want to play.

pikmin, metroid - played them before, you know... I'm in doubt... game's great.... aaaaargh!

Why is this happening? It is very silly because most people would have these games on the GC.

So how does Widescreen support work? Do they genuinly work it in there or do they just chop off the top and bottom of the screen?

And I order everyone to buy Chibi-Robo when it\'s released. It\'ll be cheaper than it ever has been, and it was so rare on GC that it may as well be a new game. (Also I want good sales for a proper sequel)

Do you recon that Chibi Robo will be released?

It is being released.
Pic of all confirmed titles.

Pikmin 2 and DK would be a good choice for people who missed them too.

Still can't believe they're full priced in England...

Sick!!
This is the only GC for Wii game I want.
I first played MP for GC a few years after it came out, so the controls felt a bit dated for me at the time. But MP3 controls are just amazing. I can't wait.

Overpriced, but not full priced. Smilie

That video just reminded me of how much 2+3 sucked in comparison to the original. I wanna play it again now....

Anyway, it also reminded me of how much the Wii controls suck for FPS's. I know they were clearly playing that with low sensitivity, but even on high you still often shoot off the centre of the screen. In real life, do you not look where you shoot? It just looks so horrible and stiff. The lock on is still desperately needed.

That game would be quite hard without the lock on system so i could imagine the difficulty would be taken down a notch or two.

My thoughts exactly, ive got Pikmin 2, have never really played it, may as well sell it whilst its still worth some money though, soon as the Wii version comes out it would be worthless.

I really hope this range fails as Ninty are really milking their luck by trying to get away from making more first party titles.

You can see Reggie saying now that this will satisfy the hardcore, now we can make more casual shit like Wii Music,Fit and whatever they blooming make these days!

I'm going to look on ebay to see if there are any good conditioned GC versions out there, I loved the first one when I played my mate's copy and I still have the save file so I just want to complete it, I also found it easier to know where to go on it than the other two.

And then the lighting effects and snow were brilliant. It actually looks better in some areas than Metroid Prime 3.

Still £39.99 for this is a total rip-off for an old game wth just new controls and widescreen support.

It'll never sell in Japan. Nice try though.

No I will not purchase it because it\'s fucking full price. So dumb...
