Rumour: 2K Bringing BioShock 2 to the Wii?

The rumour mill is overflowing recently, and a new one to emerge is the possibility of BioShock 2 for the Wii.

BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams is expected on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC but an interesting job listing for developer 2K Games requests a UI Programmer that has experience in developing for next-generation consoles - Nintendo's Wii included. Whilst this isn't exactly confirmation of a Wii version, it's interesting to see that 2K are seeking those with Wii programming experience.

With fairly big names being given Wii treatment recently, could a version of BioShock 2 swim onto Nintendo's ship?

I doubt Bioshock 2 will see a Wii release, that game is going to have notable step up in specs given the first games success. Also, putting a sequel out on Wii without the first game on the console would be a strange thing to do.

I'm thinking more of a side story/bridging story type game between 1 & 2 for Wii. It begs to reason considering most developers are trying to find easy money on the Wii. Perhaps with third parties finding profit in more qualitative titles on the Wii this becomes less of a shock and more of a given.

A side-story/bridging game sounds about right methinks - probably the best way to test out a franchise on the Wii atm.

As with Dead Space, my thoughts are the same. What's the fucking point? The atmosphere will be ruined and that is the very essence of both games.

Anyway, I highly doubt this rumour is valid.

If done right the atmosphere is not ruined. When not that much models are on screen, when lighting and effects are used, then Wii is up to the rest of the gang. Bioshock Wii would make sense. Dead Rising with 100 Zombies would not. And the latter is being made.
Just watch new House of the Dead... Great darkness, great lighting, great fun. And there are more zombies on screen then enemies would have to at Bioshock.
It's unlikely, but wouldn't be wrong imho...
I find your lack of faith disturbing!
