Robocalypse, from Ukranian developer Vogster and published by the US arm of Tecmo, proved to be a far stronger title than many expected, receiving praise from numerous critics. Now it looks like a sequel is on the way...and it will be heading to Wii, according to writer Micah Wright's personal LinkedIn profile, which was unsurprisingly nosed through by the Gaming Press.
Wright himself describes the DS game as "the first true RTS for the DS, Robocalypse features astounding AI and a hilarious story by the Evil Scum" and has been working on Robocalypse II for Wii since December last year.
Clearly surprised his personal business had been rifled through, his online work record has been amusingly updated to the following:
Vogster must love me, why else would they keep hiring me? Especially after I inadvertently spilled some beans about a game I'm working on for them. Who knew that game fans troll LinkedIn, reading these droll job postings and would repost a job profile on 200+ websites across the internet? I'm not sure if I should be pleased, stunned, or utterly terrified that this many people care.As for the job description, here's the revised version: I'm the writer of an unannounced game for Vogster, which may or may not feature Robots. Or an Apocalypse. Or two Upper-case i's. If you happened to like Vogster's last game, then yes, by all means, start saving your rubles to purchase THIS game, because it's going to make you laugh just as hard.
Wright also reveals that a version of Stuntman was due to hit Wii, under the name 'Stuntman: Demolition', but was sadly cancelled due to poor sales of Stuntman: Ignition on other formats, eventually leading to the entire series being put on hold indefinitely.
Have you played Robocalypse on the DS, and are you pleased to hear of an impending Wii release?
