Final Fantasy X Remade NES Style on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A group of Japanese rom hackers recently rebuilt Square Enix's Final Fantasy X using information from Final Fantasy II.

Using existing sprites and pallete swapping the original NES game, the coders decided to recreate the game in beautiful 8-bit style for those wanting a little nostalgia injected into the game.

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

Very impressive, there's a pretty nice fanmade remake of FFVII too.

That's pretty spiffy!
It must have taken a long time to make.

That does look pretty cool but would be better in 3D.

It's impossible to find a full game link. In fact, like the site mentions, many believe the full game was fake. It's possible it existed at some point, perhaps, but it doesn't seem like anyone can find it if it ever did.

But there is a small playable beta download in the sidebar on the left of the site, if you click PC Version Stuff. You can barely do anything except run around, though.

Shame really. The screenshots make it look really cool. Would have played.
