It just goes to show that graphics aren't everything. I love how the Wii and Nintendo are again making games with playability at the forefront.

It also goes to show that a astronomical advertising campaign isn't everything either. Halo 3 probably had much more money put into it than Wii Fit too.

One day I will be a real life anime.

It just goes to show how stupid people really are that they think they can actually get fit with just playing a video game.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone, anywhere, in any way, shape, or form, suggest that anyone could get fit by "just playing" Wii Fit.
I have, however, seen it put to many uses (I remember hearing on the news that Angelina Jolie uses Wii Fit to stay in shape - looks to me like it works for her) and not just for fitness (there are reports of doctors using it for physical therapy, helping handicapped or injured people.) And it's ratings and reviews are through the roof. If nothing else, I guarantee playing Wii Fit is healthier than playing Halo 3 Smilie
But I guess everyone listed here is just stupid. Smilie

Halo 3 seems a weird game for comparison; I think that was based on sales alone. Halo 3 is one of the better-selling games of our time.

You don\'t have to hear it, to know that the people are thinking it.
It\'s the sole reason why it is flying off the shelves not because a bunch of retards can play it.

And it\'s ratings and reviews are through the roof.

Sorry I wouldn\'t consider The Daily Mail or The Sun serious reviewers of video games.

    What a pointless comparison.

    My thoughts exactly.

I actually lost ten pounds playing Wii Sports Boxing.Smilie

I only purchased Wii Fit to test out the Balance Board, then there's also the fact that my mom wouldn't shut the hell up about wanting it for her Wii. So I caved inSmilie Although I do find the jogging game quite useful for cardio training.

So, are we suppose to think of this game any differently because it sold more than Halo3(which I find meh anyway, since I only love the original)?

    I... think notSmilie

You know, on a lot of forums, going around calling people "stupid" and "retards" would get you banned. I don't know what superiority complex you're suffering from, but to go around being absolutely vile about millions of people, especially after quite a few fans and users of Wii Fit have expressed that on this very thread, is just plain mean. I don't know what it is about Wii Fit selling more than Halo 3 that upsets you, but it doesn't warrant you being an absolute asshole to anyone at all, let alone people on this forum.

And I was referring to IGN, Gamespot, 1up, Entertainment Weekly... the game has an 80% on GameRankings, meaning that it has, gerneally, very good reviews. But I'm sure you'll come up with some snide remark about how that doesn't matter, or none of those sources (or anysource) is reliable, or how you didn't actually care, or something.

I don't see why people get upset over stuff like this. I don't own Wii Fit personally, but I know people who do, and I think it has a great concept. Why make the sales comparison you ask? Well, it puts things in perspective because we all know how well Halo 3 did. No one's saying that it's a better game or trying to make a statement about the players of either game. You can hate on mini games or dumbed down titles that require no effort, but I think Wii Fit is actually pretty admirable.

Even if it doesn't get people completely in shape, it can be a good start. At the very least it can at least educate and motivate. Also, I think it's really cool that they can use Wii Fit for things like physical therapy.
