Sega return to platforming roots with a new multi-format project, Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
Recently snooping through Sega's FTP archive, whilst grabbing the files for The Conduit, we noticed new assets for a couple of games - including one particularly interesting one, Sonic the Hedgehog 4. We kid you not. It seems to be a high-definition 2D platformer starring Sonic, Tails, Chuckles and Eggman - oh, and the much loved Jet the Bird.
Fortunately the trailer has since been removed, and we're desperately hoping this game will be canned - why? Have a look at the debut trailer...

Update: Sega's Doctor Eggman sent us the following email:
Dear Cubed3,
How's it going? I'm sitting here munching on rotten eggs when I found your website. The video is a fake. I put it up on the Sega website because I was feeling lonely and Sonic hasn't whopped me bottom in a long time! Anyways, Sonic 4 is not real.

I hope that this is not an April Fools joke becuase then I will not be happy with Sega at all. I have been waithing for a Sonic 4 game to come out after the release of Sonic and Knuckles.
