Sega's MadWorld is having a few problems in the UK with major retailers already chainsawing prices significantly.
The comic-violence Wii-exclusive has a large number of fans, but unfortunately isn't doing as well as retailers had hoped - in the UK anyway. Game ships the title for £19.99, £17.99 GameStation and a shocking £16.99 over at GamePlay. The game has the usual Wii RRP of £34.99.
The news comes as the game made 34th in the all-formats top 40 in its first week but slipped off 7 days later. With the reduction and gamers having a four day Easter weekend, perhaps there's some hope for poor old jack.

Yes, I actually just purchased Madworld yesterday because it hadn't been stocked here in Mexico. I'm still waiting for Liverpool to stock HotD: Overkill to make my purchase.
Madworld will end up selling between 500,000-650,000 copies worldwide which will mean a good return on Sega's investment on a new IP.

Its doing well in canda and u.s. I live in canada and it's significantly popular. It does well out here but because of it's mindless nature but it probably won't fare well over seas. None the less it's a great game with a surprisingly good story, pick it up today!
