Playing Piano on Nintendo's DSi

Playing Piano on Nintendo

A gamer has worked out that by breaking the DSi's touch screen up into a grid, you can play short tunes using the stylus.

By going into the graffiti mode and using the musical note stamp you can plod out single note jingles, and by tapping in specific places, play specific notes.

Thanks to C3 reader Linkyshinks for the tip.

if ever there was a man with too much time on his hands! seriously, this is a nice touch by nintendo but they could so easily have released an application where you could use musical staves and picked and dropped notes to create a musical score, kind of like you could in Mario Paint on the SNES, and don't even go there with Wii Music, its fine for kids, but anyone who can ACTUALLY play instruments can not get anything out of owning that game

ha, thats a nifty lil thing to do though. Smilie

The patience some people have in order to figure this business out Smilie
Kudos to him!
And anyone else who knows how to play music
[Now you can play on the go in a simple fashion, yeah?]

Thats so Cool - NOT

Nice, but yeah too much time on your hands there bud. I've had my DSi from day one and have yet to be THAT bored! Heck I don't even have time like that to waste. I wonder what he does for a living. "Stay-At-Home-Dad" probably. Smilie
