Nintendo Revealing New Fire Emblem RPG?

Following the massive success of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, a new game is set to be revealed, it would seem. A brief snippet of text in Japanese publication Nintendo Dream states: There has been no information about a new game for a while, but...Fire Emblem fans, look forward to the next issue!" Later in the same magazine, again whilst talking about the next issue, it states "And the blockbuster game is revealed...!?"
This is all speculation for now until something more concrete emerges, but it has been more than eight months since the Japanese release of Shadow Dragon, the DS remake of the very first entry in the series from 1990 on the NES. In Japan the game has gone on the sell nearly 300,000 units, back in line with how the games used to sell at the height of the series' popularity. Due to this, the team at Intelligent Systems hinted heavily in Cubed3's interview at the end of last year that another remake could be on the cards. Could this be another DS remake, or perhaps something brand new for Wii? Or maybe it is a different take on the long-running franchise, something that the team also touched upon wanting to do at some point.

Im going to come right out and say it.
laguz were the best idea they have had. they need to stick with this idea. i also like the classes from first gameboy games. Mix together and see what u get

well, considering that japan kept the best fire emblem game, fire emblem fuuin no tsrugi, aka fire emblem sword of seals, all to themselves, i would like to see them remake that one, just as they re-made the first one originally for NES, into a DS format. i would LOVE it if they made the roy one again. a ton of ppl in the U.S have it illegally, via ROM and patching, but i would like to have it without the chance of being arrested.

Then choose your class
Mage(wind,fire,thunder)
Knight(lance,sword,axe)
Armr(lance,sword,axe)
Laguz(heron,cat,lion,tiger,wolf,raven,hawk,dragon)

and you choose your appearance head shape hair style hair color eyes eye color and mouth
and your just a recruit for your country and later on you become king/queen of your country and get a weapon of your first specialization that only you can use.

i really wish they would make it like FE 8()sacred stones) where u can choose multiple classes but at the same time like radiant dawn where theres alot more new things like the cats lol but yea i love the FE series

I would love some new classes and wuld like to see some old ones like the assassin from Sacred Stones. Also a longer story than the last games. They were too short.your text here

This is HUGE. The fact that a DS game can sell like that is insanity! The guys at Intelligent Systems did something right! 
... finally...
However, another remake may flop. The style of the games graphics swayed from earlier versions and too much time was spent refining sprites and battle animations (which many players turn off)
A new FE would be great but keep it simpler! Stick to the games roots.

I also think it would be good to see Sealed Sword translated, anyone who has the first English released game has been waiting for 7 years to see the release of the sequel.... Including me

a fire emblem game where you can buy people and make your very own heroe would be cool kind of rts only then you buy and keep them so you can level them that would be awesome

I love fire emblem but shadow dragon wasn't that good make another one for wii I and most of my friends probubly wouldn't buy another one for DS

i loved the characters in path of radiance, i dont think radiant dawn did them any justice. i do hope they make another game for the wii, but i hope they go back to how they did path of radiance, i loved the character development, but i wish it was more difficult, and more accesible for the new and weaker characters. although it does make it more challenging. either way, iam looking forward to a new exciting game for the wii.

Hope they make the FE 4 the WII as well. I dont have nor play the other nintendo systems. Fire Emblem is the bomb. Ike is awesome n so is the others. Love Sothe n Radiant Dawn.

I also would love 2 c another game with Ike n the rest. Just need more characters 2 use n battle, new recruits, etc. That covers it 4 now.

Eh... I don't think I could handle a remake. Hopefully it would be something for the Wii U... maybe one more chapter in the Tellius saga. I would definitely buy that.

I'd like to see it come to platforms other than the DS and Wii, I don't know if Nintendo would be ok with that but it would be quite nice to sit down and play Fire Emblem on a huge tv, other than that, maybe they could try taking away the turn based system in towns or something, keep the combat system but make it work, better graphics/3d(like on the fire emblem gamecube and wii games), voiceovers, and just different little gameplay mechanics, people will probably disagree but if they want to keep this franchise alive thats what theyre going to have to do in the future

Another story to the FE: Radiant Dawn. Those stories were awesome, it's too bad it ended.
But stuff like that is sure to sell!

i would love there to be a totally different addition to the series other than a remake of a previous version. such as the model of radiant dawn, i would love there to be one with toally different characters and, even though telling the ancestory of the characters in the genre such as roy being the son or eliwood, it would be very interesting of introducing totally new characters and ancestory along with a whole new story line. the series is brilliant, but what has introducing a fresh start ever hurt? and even though a ps3 version of this game may not be in the cards, its always nice to dream haha

Please make another game following the radiant dawn series......this game is sooo sweet and don't change a thing about the gameplay.......too many games get way to complicated with their gameplay....i love to follow the story lines and play the game how it has been for the game cube and WII......Please make another game just how Radiant Dawn was.....its one of my favorite games of all time comming from a person who owns every gamming system thats been out there!
