During a Japanese screening for a greatly enhanced Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, series producer Shinji Hashimoto potentially shot down years worth of rumours on a new title for the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.
...producer Shinji Hashimoto referred to its release as the Compilation's "end for now". While future extensions were not ruled out, it's probably safe not to expect another Crisis Core or Dirge of Cerberus any time soon.Bittersweet news for Final Fantasy VII fans, but at least we have the greatly enhanced Advent Children Complete to look forward to -- at the same screening, Hashimoto stated that an overseas release is a definite.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete was recently released in Japan, featuring a playable PS3 demo of Final Fantasy XIII, and now it looks like a worldwide release is imminent.
Do fans think this destroys hopes of a Final Fantasy VII remake? Or is there something they're not telling us? Express your thoughts below.
