High Voltage to Reveal 2 Wii Exclusives at E3

High Voltage's Eric Nofsinger has confirmed two new Wii exclusives to be shown off at this year's E3 Expo.

According to Nintendo Master, the studio behind Wii-exclusive The Conduit will be demonstrating two new games - one of which will fit into the "first person shooter" bracket, and the other will be completely different.

Our goal with The Conduit was to make a game that was the most graphically impressive for the Wii. Our goal with these upcoming games is to do some things that are very, very rare, even on the 360 or PS3. Some of the things we're doing with sheer number of enemies onscreen and things like that are very impressive. We've got a demo that we'll be showing, where the average number of enemies on the screen at a given time is 65. And it goes up. There's areas where you go onto a vista and there's an incredible number of enemies.

Could High Voltage already be preparing a sequel to The Conduit?

    Thanks to GameSpot.

Well, I am not as beefed up about the conduit simply because of the so-so previews, all tech and no glory.

On the other hand, in the n64 days, I remember rare getting that same treatment from previewers - but on release day, they appeared to have thought out gameplay so well, they rose to stardom instantly.

And they became the best developer the platform had seen.

Will high voltage surprise us? If they put as much effort in gameplay as in stats, they will.

I think HV can easily become the best third party dev on Wii - atm they're definitely in the top 5! Can't wait to see what they're up to. That Hot Rod racing game they're doing looks decent too.

One of them is probably Animales de la Muerte revamped into a retail title, since it's no longer WiiWare.

"the average number of enemies on the screen at a given time is 65. And it goes up." This is what amazed me, the work these guys are putting into their engine just to generate that is crazy. The Conduit for me is like Crysis from what I've heard, really awesome tech blank game. even so, Crysis was quite enjoyable (beautiful at ultra high settings good think I pimped my PC for it Smilie) and I intend to get this just for the work they've done and what they've accomplished. They deserve heaps of credit. Anyone that wants more good looking hardcore games on the Wii should buy this if they can just for the support, I'll play online everyday to entertain you if you do so!! XD

Well Done HV, you're my second Favorite Wii dev atm (first being big N).

This is one of the few games I plan to get right at launch. Can't wait to see what else they have to show. It would be great if they turned out to be for the Wii what Rare was for the N64.

HELL YES! Hopefully C3 will have Online comps for it! *winks and nudges at JB*

I think that Racing game they showed Uses this engine as well... Here's hoping to see more on that and their other title. It'll most likely be Animales de la Muerte as Mason said.

Even if it ends up not being as good as we might have hoped I'll still get it...developers who actually try to make good Wii games need to be supported.

I\'ll be buying this, I just hope that HV aren\'t promising more than they can deliver. Would be a shame to see reviews lashing out at promises that weren\'t delivered.

Pretty pumped for The Conduit... Kind of interesting that they have two new games to show off though. IMO they should have 100% of their resources on The Conduit.

You can't judge a game by it's graphics, no one has seen/played more than the opening demo so wait untill it actually comes out/next games that come out to make a jugement like thatSmilie

If my money incomes are sufficient, i\'m there too. I\'ve just bought Little King\'s Stroy, I\'ve still got to buy Mushroom Men, Pikmin 2 and Okami and in the near future : Punch Out, Klonoa, Another Code R and, if the rumour about its coming to Europe soon is true : Project Zero 4 (aka Fatal Frame 4). That would be one more Wii Game, so few money to buy themm all and even more important, so few time to finish them Smilie ...

Echoes221, Edge complained about flat level design in the Demo, I have a feeling that the retail version is not going to be any different.

Bringing back to my point. In the Demo and anyway, if it's flat and the game is good who cares! It's still too early to judge

    Quote from the ONM Preview.

Well, we're happy to report that six months on the game is looking much, much more interesting. The visuals are some the crispest we've seen on the Wii, the action is frantic and the level design, if not revolutionary, isn't quite the dated N64 playground we feared.

Judging from that, the Single Player's Level design isn't very dated, But then Timesplitters level design is called dated by some people, but alot of people still enjoy it.

I think this is going to be a 9/10 game, if more for the multiplayer than the single player, and because of the Multiplayer it'll have quite good value for money (the more people who buy it the better in that case).

Not sure it tells you much to say a level design is dated. Some old games have had much better levels then some new games.
Flat (which I take to mean unvaried) is a much more heavy critism in my book.

But, yeah, too early to judge.

Either way, I'm getting this as I'm sure this developer will get better and better....if we proove theres a market for their work.

Darkflame is right. For me flat = repetitive, uninspired, boring which pretty much means bad for me. Prime example of flat level design is Dementium. I really hope that Conduit is a great FPS, but I am being realistic, rarely companies like HVS make 9/10 games. In the best case scenario we'll receive a polished, but uninspired in terms of game design, game like Killzone 2.

I took flat to mean literally 'flat pancake' my bad, revision makes me not think at all!
