    Dragon Quest Wars Uncovered

A new trademark has popped up from Square Enix related to its multi-million selling Dragon Quest franchise. So far the company has released four Dragon Quest-related games on the Nintendo DS, with Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker and the remakes of Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen and V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. In a couple of months Japan will be treated to the next main entry in the series, Dragon Quest IX on DS, whilst Dragon Quest X has also been announced as coming to Nintendo's Wii home console.

However, a new trademark has been spotted that indicates that more Dragon Quest loving could well be on the horizon. Over on the US trademarks and patents website 'Dragon Quest Wars' has just been registered, although at the moment there are no details as to what the game could involve. Could it be possible that Square Enix is going to attempt to go down the tactical RPG route, similar to Nintendo's Advance Wars series? Could this be a sequel to Dragon Quest Heroes?

What do you think Dragon Quest Wars could be?

provided it comes to the UK i probably wont care what its like! i have loved all DQ games i've played. Although a SRPG would be fun.
A sequel to Rocket Slime wouldn't go amiss though...

Could this be the S-E x V-Jump title that was going to be announced soon? There was always a lot of DQ stuff in V-Jump.

One day I will be a real life anime.

    Online!

Wasn't DQ6 getting a DSremake also? I thought that would have come out before DQ9.

DQVI has never been remade, so it's going to have to have a LOT of work done to make fans happy...so chances are it may well use whatever engine DQIX's using.

Man, I'm sure it's not, but a sequel to Rocket Slime would be awesome!!! I was very surprised at just how much fun that game was. I played it five times through!

Does sound like a SRPG spinoff, could be good.
