    Agreed.
    I'm very slowly walking away....
Now I'm running incredibly fast away from DJ hero

    =_=

They're going WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too far with this...

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

Owch - a bit too much new stuff, they should really focus on bumping up the DLC and keeping gamers with the older versions happy. Too much too soon methinks.

DJ Hero has potential though, could be pretty neat to use.

A lot of (black) people I know don't like guitar hero because it doesn't have any songs they like in it.

Activision is just trying to broaden their market. I will stay away from DJ Hero unless they release a fully electronic music version.

    Guitar Hero 5 already? Sheeze...
As long as it uses the same instruments as World Tour (which they should be selling separately by now) then I'll get it.
I notice the article doesn't mention GH Smash Hits, or whatever they're calling it now.

Um... I don't think see the significance of them being black lol. I mean I'm African American, but the reason I don't like Guitar Hero, is because they don't have enough of the Rock/Alternative/Guitar-driven music I like to make it interesting. I know a lot of people (not black) that felt that way. My musical taste is kind of all over the place, though.

I think that if they try hip hop it will probably be even worse. I agree that a focus on electronic music would make for a much better game. What's funny is the last time I was at a party and they were playing Rock Band, I jokingly told a friend that they needed a DJ game for electronic/house music. I never thought it'd actually happen though.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; the fuck Activision?

That sure ist the case: I am often perfectly happy with Guitar Hero's music, thou I like GH 3 more then WT and the old parts 1 and 2. DJ Hero isn't for me. But maybe it's a great experience for them R&Bs.

GH5? Depends on the set-list. They should make possible to play any tune from any GH-game on GH5. I know, it's virtually impossible on Wii, but who knows... I want to play all the tunes from all GH I own on the fly, not change the game all the time. Aerosmith is dusting on my shelf, because there are a lot of songs in it I don't like to play.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Activision should try doing other games for once. As in something other than Music Hero or Pro Sports. As I said on an earlier thread, wouldn't "Super Hero" be interesting? Smilie

I guess it'll be fine as long as they don't make "An Hero" to cash in to the suicidal emos Smilie

Something this article doesn't seem to mention, is that these have actually been in development for a while. Band Hero was copyrighted around the time of GH3, DJ Hero (if I recall) around GH2.
GH5 would be well worth it, for the ability to change stuff on the fly. Restarting the song / setlist / game is a major pain in the posterior. There are other areas that greatly need improvement (like the fact that it's pretty much impossible to activate star power on drums. I can smack both cymbals all I want, and all it does is terminate my combo. Then on the 7th or 8th try, it might activate it. And the faster songs don't even give enough of a break to move to the cymbals anyway.)
