Rumour: Devil May Cry 5 for Wii? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A rumour about Capcom's mystery E3 game has suggested that Devil May Cry 5 will be revealed, with the game also making its way to Wii.

Criousgamer report that the next chapter of Devil May Cry will make its debut next month, with a version in development for Nintendo's Wii alongside the bigger brothers.

We all knew that with Details & Trailers of already announced titles such as Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles etc, Capcom was also going to reveal 2 brand new titles at E3 2009 one of them was recently revealed Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

According to our source the second title will be non other then the sequel to the popular gaming franchise Devil May Cry (Devil May Cry 5). and it will not only be appearing on PC, Playstation 3 & Xbox 360, it will also make it's way onto Nintendo Wii.

Our source confirms us that unfortunately Capcom will only release a 1:32 min long teaser trailer, but on the positive side the teaser will confirm us the release date of the title.

Do you think there's any truth to this rumour, and that DMC5 will rise on Nintendo's Wii?

I remember being young and gullible and reading that DMC4 may have been heading to the Wii right here on C3. Good ol' daysSmilie

Well, it's not unthinkable. They did it with Dead Rising, after all - for better or for worse. Well, only one way to find out...

Devil May Cry 5: Dante's Cooking adventure! I can already see him with the apron and chef hat.

I wonder if this will actually happen, notice Capcom says 2 brand new titles, maybe suggesting a new IP?

but to put it simple, it'll most likely be a shit broken down port that Capcom thinks will please the fans. I just want a new Wii IP from these people, I wish they would just stop with the ports alreadySmilie

Well to be fair there is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Spyborgs and Monster Hunter 3, two new IP's and one giant blockbuster sequal.

Good point, and I'm satisfied with that for now.

I don't know what to think about a DMC game on Wii because the graphics wont be able to compare to the ones on 360 and PS2. All I hope is that you don't play as a different character to Dante.

Well I think some of you guys want the ridiculous. At this time all things considered economically. You want game companies to make their PS3/360 titles. then do a grounds up game for the wii entirely new IP. Cheaper development costs or not your still talking 1-2yrs dev and millions of dollars.

They dont have to be mere ports, with more consideration to graphics and control the new DMC could look as good as DMC3 and play sensibly. Either with classic control or IR pointer. YOu could point at the coloumns and walls and make Dante jump and run on them. It could be a faster paced game.

Well based on previous ports downgraded from the HD consoles the wii one will just never be as good so there is no point getting excited about it.

Smilie I don't know why I keep forgetting about those.(I must still have the sickening feeling from their other ports and onrail gibberish)

To be fair I'll give them a point for Tatsunoko VS Capcom, but I'm not interested in Spyborgs. I'm also afraid they'll gimp MH3 with pay to online. I think that will be blasphemy making the funnest part of that game pay to play. I just hope they don't pull that move like they did with the MHG wii portSmilie
