even if I think that MP1 and 2 had better controls with the Cube-pad
You can't be serious! Ok I agree that you have to aim as well as lock on in MP3 but you get used to it and don't even notice your doing it.
But seriously. Holding R to look around is right pain in the arse mainly because you can not move at the same time meaning that you can't dodge attacks.
Those creatures tha hang upside down and only come off with seeker missiles while you stand there getting battered with shots
Think of the Cyhkka, Grappling and shooting but you can't aim to hit it as well as it's wings you have to stop and turn
The qaudraxis, the lock on alwals locks on to the wrong nee cap as well as not being able to aim at the nodes on it's head easily
Emporor ing, aiming between the shields is a bitch and the part on it's back.
The controls greatly improve the experience. Whilst retaining the lock on function you have full control over your crosshair to seek out loads of weak points and make the game flow much, much better. They also keep A as shoot so you don't get fatigued. I also find that selecting visors is much more accurate and makes you less vulnerable i.e. you can still move while selcting visors and still dodge whilst slecting changing weapon since you had to use the C stick (Assuming that + / - will be weapon change) and there is very little confusion in selecting them e.g. accidentally pushing a diagonal. But hey I'm nit picking on a brilliant game. On the cube it worked well, there wasn't many other ways to do the control scheme, but I think the Wii builds on it greatly.
