Japanese website Nikkei has revealed that Wii Fit Plus is a reality and that a new Mario is coming this year. Late last month a trademark popped up for a supposed Wii Fit successor, which is rumoured to have online functionality and a better sensor calibration method to make the whole experience much more accurate. Now Nikkei says that Wii Fit Plus is indeed a reality. The news is certainly backed up by yet another batch of updated Japanese trademarks that have been uncovered, which clearly show that Wii Fit Plus is indeed in the offing, with its logo being revealed as well.
As for the Mario game mentioned, it could really relate to anything, but since EAD Tokyo has not revealed its hand since completing Super Mario Galaxy and updating Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat for the New Play Control series on Wii, many will be hoping for a Galaxy sequel to rear its head at this year's E3 event...

I\'m hoping the Mario game is something along the lines of Super Mario Brothers, it\'s been 3 years since the last one, and it sold very well.
Wii Fit Plus was obviously coming out. I think that\'s what Nintendo meant to retailers by making sure they have alot of shelf space.
Guess we\'ll find out what\'s happening tomorrow.

I'm up for that.
But I hope not for any major Wii mario game.
Galaxy was perfect. Lets not spoil it by a cheap sequal.
Quality over quanity has kept the franchise this long.
