This is the perfect chance to bundle motionplus into the remote itself. Japanese buyers more then any other love to trade in.
They could increase the price but offer a reduce rate for those who trade their old console.

An even better option would be to hold off redesign to make it a little thinner and up the power to output 720p at least. Then devs could better port hi def games using unreal engine.

The classic controller actually looks pretty cool in that bottom pic. I just really hope we get some different coloured Wiis in the west.

Price drop still seems impossible.

I wish they released the choice in the first place, the Wii was my first home console that wasn't black, and the Wii looks pretty nice in black.

It looks amazing. Is there any way to transfer Wii Shop Channel accounts to another Wii as I've got loads of VC/WiiWare games?

It might be possible if your games are tied to a Club Nintendo account, but you'd have to ask them. Smilie

Holy shizzle that classic controller looks gorgeous! Really liking this black model - nice on Nintendo! Smilie

Interesting point about transferring games and the like across, it maybe possible but imo it\'ll probably involving sending in the old and new Wii methinks.

While the new black color looks great, I'll stick with my launch White Wii.

I've never traded in a console so I could get a color change (Purple Gamecube and all) and I won't be starting now.

Still, this will definitely push Wii hardware sales upwards of 50,000 consoles a week for at least a month since Monster Hunter is such a huge franchise in Japan and many people are holding off on buying a Wii until this saw a release.

Can you imagine the sales when Dragon Quest X launches bundled with a Wii in Japan in "Slime Blue"?

Thats a long time to wait.

With Prime Trillogy, Galaxy, Twlight Princess theres probably 200hours of gameplay even if you are -very- fussy with what you buy.
Add another 60 onto that if you never played Okami.

I prefer the white Wii since it is more unique. However, if they released a red system, I'd be all over it.

About time.

I've got my DS in the meantime. Three games out of the ones you mentioned I played on the cube, so that leaves Metroid Prime corruption and Mario Galaxy. I can wait, really.

I wants a black Wii. I don't really like the red DS, but the black Wii is sexy. Smilie

I'm so jealous right now lol. This might be the first console I've ever traded for a different color. (I jumped on the GameCube train late in the game, so I was able to skip the purple and buy it and black) Smilie

Beautiful!

Jeez, they FINALLY got around to the black Wii.

By the way, whatever happened to this:
