As well as demoing the new Motionplus accessory, Wii Sports Resort will also feature some sort of online component.
A recent update on the European Nintendo Channel suggests that the sequel to Wii's best selling title will house some kind of online feature, be it full-blown Online Play or just Leaderboards.

Hmmm. It mentions WiiConnect24 which makes me wonder if this is going to feature some form of competitive online or something passive like leaderboards.

Whilst this sounds like good news it could just mean that you might be sent messages about the game from Nintendo HQ to your Wii Menu inbox - that's the minimum it needs to do to get the WiiConnect24 brand.
