Shia LaBeouf Takes a Jab at Nintendo's Wii

Shia LaBeouf, of Transformers, Indy and Even Stephens fame, has dismissed the Wii and Wii players in a recent interview.

Speaking to Big Download LaBeouf was asked whether he's tried out the Wii edition of the Transformers. He hadn't, and takes a slight jab at Nintendo's console in the process.

BD: Have you checked out the Wii Transformers game?

SL: I haven't been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I've just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like...I don't mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing.

BD: What's wrong with the Wii?
SL: This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.

His response is similar to many on non nintendo forums. The only difference is you can put a stupid looking face to a stupid sounding comment.

I can tell if a movie fan is the type I would consider going to the cinema with. Does he enjoy watching films with LaTwat in it. Considering hi offerings consist of transformers and indian jones: the shit one.

It's only Megan fox that makes it awesome...and all the action...and the big fuck off robots...and brilliant animation.

It's amazing how close minded some people are. Put them on the console and see everybody woop their asses at smash bros, Then we will see how amatuerish it is.

I love transformers, and i love the new live action transformers. But to say that wii-owners does not count as gamers.

He can stfu until he beats MP3 on hypermode, collect 241 stars i SMG, RE4 on Professional, Batallion Wars 2 on Hard etc... I can go on and on, there are allot of challenging games on the Wii that will give most gamers a hard challenge. And the games that High Voltage Software is developing! Those are most likely going to be challenging \"core-gamer-games\".:-x

Eh he already got on my nerves before this (Megan Fox too... she's really annoying), so I can't say my opinion of him has changed lol. And the only thing good about Transformers is the special effects. I gotta give credit to ILM and everyone else. They've managed to entertain me with nothing but pretty CG robot fights lol. Smilie

Yeah I hear ya there. I can't wait to see Transformers 2 this Wednesday, but I'm not going to be too thrilled to watch his punk ass in action. I think it's sad though too. A comment that may seem as meaningless as he may have thought has caused such a commotion for Nintendo & Wii communities. He as a celebrity should have known better. How irresponsible of him. Smilie
