Shia LaBeouf Takes a Jab at Nintendo's Wii

Shia LaBeouf, of Transformers, Indy and Even Stephens fame, has dismissed the Wii and Wii players in a recent interview.

Speaking to Big Download LaBeouf was asked whether he's tried out the Wii edition of the Transformers. He hadn't, and takes a slight jab at Nintendo's console in the process.

BD: Have you checked out the Wii Transformers game?

SL: I haven't been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I've just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like...I don't mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing.

BD: What's wrong with the Wii?
SL: This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.

Thanks to Nintendo Life, via GoNintendo.

    That's great! *lol*
You know what? That's what a lot of people think - so called 'cores'. The areso closed minded to pick up a Wiimote and use gestures, say, that they rather press buttons, because it's more accurate, say, that they grow tired of gesturing.
They are so closed minded, they think they are right! It's ridiculous. Very poor - not of LaBeouf, but of all the fanboys I know (not-Nintendo Fanboys, that is!).

It's not LaBoeuf I find disturbing, it's the opinions of these people, LaBeouf is the stereotype of...
I find your lack of faith disturbing!

He ruined his reputation? Since when did he have anything even resembling a reputation? He's just a b-list actor.

Well he is entitled to his opinion. Can't say that it's an amatur consule, but it isn't like nintendo always make me a proud wii owner.

    One can dream. Smilie

As much as I despise comments like his, I like him as an actor and am willing to watch any film he\'s in. Smilie

I\'m guessing he\'s only played Wii Sports and Wii Play, and is basing his opinion on the tons of shovelware on Wii. Smilie Someone should give him a copy of Mario Galaxy.

Is that why you wouldn't play LEGO Star Wars with Megan Fox on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?
Correct. Who wants to play the Wii version of LEGO Star Wars. I'd rather eat glass.

Revenge of the Fallen is a pretty good film, Glenjamin, bit drawn out toward the end but it's got a great use of the word ''bollocks'' in the film LMAO when that happened, it is slightly better than the first in my opinion, partly because it is not as predictable, there are a few more great one liners, and also the first time you see Megan Fox she's wearing tiny hot pants sitting astride a motorbike. Enjoy!

Um... he is aware that it's the best-selling system currently, right?
So apparently, most people who play games don't play real games.
Maybe he should quit being in amateur movies, so I could take him seriously.

People actually think he's a good actor? The first part of his films he starts off as a screaming whiney bitch a' la Transformers, Eagle Eye. Nobody wants to see that shit. And look at that douchey picture of him in Even Stevens from the BBC. Come on brah' you ain't fooling no one.

To me, he'll always be Lewis out of Even Steven.

Still, he's entitled to his opinion, but then, I guess his one of those people that crave into peer pressure and don't play things because they seem "uncool" among his friends.

For those users that have yet to see Transformers 2 and will hate any time LaBeouf is seen on screen due to his fanboy-ish attitude , just try to remember that there is another star from that film who has been very open about her love for the Wii: Megan Fox.

Megan Fox Playing Guitar Hero on the Wii: Megan Fox playing Guitar Hero on the Wii

Megan Fox a fan of the Wii (curiously a recent story not covered by Cubed3):
    Megan Fox Loves the Wii

So while you watch the film... just remember that Megan Fox has nothing but love for the Wii. So LaDouche can suck it.

Agreed, to a certain degree. My statement was, although, implying a stereotype, to clarify.
It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.
