    Ghostwire Revealed for DSiWare

A trailer for an intriguing DSiware game has been shown off, with a novel and spooky use of the twin cameras.

Ghostwire, from publisher A Different Game, uses the DSi Cameras to place Ghostly Apparitions in real life environments. Little is known regarding release dates or price point, but this is certainly one of DSiWare's most promising concepts.

Would Any DSi owners here consider a little Download-Ghostbusting?

    Augmented Reality FTW Smilie

    I love this stuff.

Notice how the ghost aligns/moves with the camera correctly? smart stuff. The tracking cant be 100% on this sort of hardware...but the fact the visuals are ghosts means that dosnt mater Smilie (you expect them not to be completely fixed to the world).

Of course, making a good game from this is another thing autogether, but this is very positive signs.

More like this would make me get a DSi.
(or just more AR functionality. A good incomeing/gunturret style game could work.)

Does anyone know how it works? Is it just fixed, preset places that you have to visit, or can it work anywhere??

    Anywhere.
The DS dosnt have a GPS, and I dought this cart would have one, so it has no way of knowing where you are.

It probably does a psydo-random location that could be based on sound, audio, colour and the amount of ectoplasm in the area Smilie
