Pokémon Heart Gold & Soul Silver Given Japan Dates on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Date and Pricing details have been confirmed for Heart Gold & Soul Silver's releases in the Land of the Rising Sun.

The DS remakes of what are widely considered the superior pair of games in the long running Pokémon series, will grace Japanese shelves on September 12th 2009.

Interestingly, the pricing is set at 4800 yen, despite being shipped with a special Creature-raising Pedometer in every box. So unlike the Walk With Me title, Gold & Silver will retail at a regular DS price. Could it be the same overseas? and does this September release date point to a possible Christmas release in other territories?

In the US it'll probably be priced okay but in the UK? I wouldn't be surprised to see them retail for £39.99

I\'ll get the English versions later, of course. But I\'m impatient.

However, if these magically end up getting a US release before December, I\'ll pass on the import. But I\'ll only hold off if the US release date isn\'t announced before the middle of August. Otherwise. Import time...

Pokemon games are almost always released in March or October (roughly) in the US. I'm guessing HGSS will be released in early March for the US and a few months later for Europe.

Guessing July for Europe. Sounds about right, also I think they've been speeding up the localisation process lately, and there's no need to translate Pokémon names all over again etc. So hopefully the wait won't be long!
