Rumoured Wii Brutal Legend Cancelled? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Rumoured Wii version of Brutal Legend has supposedly been canceled after technical/quality concerns at EA.

EA's Brutal Legend is bound for Xbox 360 and PS3 this October, an action/adventure game featuring a rodie transported to a fantasy heavy metal world and equipped with a battle axe and a guitar sets out to rid this new world of supernatural overlords.

Our sources have indicated that a Wii version was in development at Electronic Arts, just not with Double Fine at the helm. The keyword here is "was," as we've recently learned from our sources that the Wii version of the title has been canceled due to quality and technical concerns.

great, release it for pc then, im not buying a console for 1 or 2 games alone.

Good news for all concerned. Jack Black is an annoying twat and could only further ruin a game that has EVERYTHING going against it.

Brutal Legends looks excelent, imho.
But what was canceled was a Wii version made outside DoubleFine.....probably a cheap, hand-me-down crappy version, rather then anything worth having.

Better nothing then a shoddy port, imo.

Mario Galaxy, Metroid Corruption, Twlight Princess is already 3 absolutely must have games.
Zack and Wiki, Eleedees are also strong contenders.

For sure the Wii dosnt have the biggest lineup, but theres a heck of a lot more then 1 or 2 great games on it.

If they canceled it due to "technical/quality issues", I think we can be pretty well assured that at the rate it was going it would've sucked, hard. Better nothing at all than one more miserably failed game to propagate the idea that "good" games can't work on the Wii.

Also, nice to know EA has "quality" control.
