DS Drum Pads Revealed for Band Hero on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Band Hero will also be coming to Nintendo's DS - but how will drummers... drum? By using a tag on periperhal of course!

Instead of tapping away like a mad man on the DS's touch screen, Activision will be bundling a drum-pad attachment with the portable release of Band Hero. Much like the Guitar Grip it's only compatible with the Lite, given the lack of a GBA slot in the DSi. It dons four soft pads that fit snugly over the d-pad and face buttons.

They have this really nice push-back, bounce-back feel to them. They fit your thumbs well. If you start banging on that d-pad [without it,] you'd get blisters and you won't have that feel.

Thanks to Kotaku.

What do you think of the Drum attachment? Do you think it could work, or is it another useless piece of plastic?

Ridiculously unnecessary, but you got to admit, it's pretty cool.

Just something else to pay for... Smilie

I've got to admit it...great idea.

I hope they don't misread too often.
They seem like that could be possible.
Nonetheless a great idea though.
