Eternal Darkness rules.
Not just from storytelling, but from its game mechcanics too.
Sure, it took awhile to get started, but it had a really nice magic-system and some good puzzles. It also had some frelling amazing bits.
A monster following you from room to room....breaking its out game rules, and that of many other games. Id like to see Zelda do this at some point. Have a boss chase you back though the whole dungoen
It also is one of the few games to break out of having generic, sterotyped, game charecters.
What other game do you get to play a fat, middle-aged man for awhile?
(and dont say mario )
The industry needs more games like Eternal Darkness. More games that break the rules.
I'm thinking Eternal Darkness was so good because they got help from Nintendo. Although I don't know if that's how it works.

Over the period of a decade Too Human went from being an epic 4-disc first Person RPG, to a generic Diablo hack and slash, divided into 3 parts.
My hope is this game would be back on track.
A lower budget, but creatively stronger game.
Maybe even an Eternal Darkness equal in disguise :p
(you dont find out till half way the plots are connected).
