Wii Sports Resort Claims UK Number 1 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo's Wii Sports Resort came out in the UK last Friday, and didn't enter the charts. That's a lie - the sequel has claimed number 1.

The game, bundled with the required Wii Motion Plus accessory, has pipped poor old Potter to the post with strong first-weekend sales in the country. That said, the film to game translation of Harry Potter's 6th story, The Half-Blood Prince, continued to do exceptionally well in second place. Amongst the top 10 are the regulars - Nintendo's Wii Fit, Call of Duty 4 from Activision and an onslaught of big names from EA Games.

01. Wii Sports Resort - Nintendo
02. Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince - EA
03. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 - EA
04. Wii Fit - Nintendo
05. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen - Activision
06. Fight Night Round 4 - EA
07. Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood - Ubisoft
08. The Sims 3 - EA
09. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Activision
10. EA Sports Active - EA

by how much? lol

Jesus, how many more units can Wii Fit sell?

£70 a go, that is just unreal.

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.

I remember that a few months back Silicon Knights tried to sue Epic Games because they said that Epic would hold back certain features of the Unreal Engine so other company\'s games would not look as good as theirs.

I am surprised that nobody tries to sue Nintendo because nobody can make a Wii game that sells as well as theirs.

Was going to buy resort but I was devastated to read the reviews and find out there is no online play. Thats just not on. It took the wii long enough to get online. May still get it but will wait until I have extra cash. Was going to write that I would wait until it goes down in price. But nintendo software is the only software in the world that holds its price 3yrs on.

Nice - good to see it doing so well so soon! Tis a shame about the lack of online though Smilie
