Nibris' Double Bloob Returns, on Wii from Bloober Team

Double Bloob may have gone underground, but it appears to be back...Originally the game was being developed for the Nintendo DS by Polish company Nibris, the team supposedly still working on Sadness for Wii. Now, though, Double Bloob, which was seen by many as nothing more than an imitation of Mitchell Corp's Pang/Buster Bros., was sent to Cubed3 for several hands-on sessions and some early footage was shown to prove the project was indeed 'real'.

Along with RoTR, Nibris' vertical shooter, Double Bloob was handed over to Bloober Team, the folk behind Last Flight on WiiWare, and now the first footage of the planned Wii edition has been uncovered.

Check out Cubed3's captured footage of Nibris' DS version and the updated Bloober Team Wii version of Double Bloob below:

OH MY GOD!!! NIBRIS IS REAL!!!!!

I really don\'t care how mediocre this game looks, all I care about is Sadness. PLEASE, Nibris, PLEASE just GIVE US SOMETHING TO GO ON here!!! I don\'t care if you delay it \'til 2012 if that\'s what you have to do to make the game live up to the vision - just PLEASE let us know that it is getting somewhere!!

Also: the DS version definitely looks better.

Wow, what started up as a clone transformed into something... not quite right. 3D aiming without depth in a what was a good 2D game to begin with? Plus it looks like a Wiiware game at best. Wow, they really ruined this one.
