Bit.Trip Void - Debut WiiWare Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Aksys has confirmed a continuation of the Bit.Trip series with a version on the big screen - Bit.Trip Void for WiiWare.

Void follows its predecessors by fusing retro 8-bit inspired visuals and gameplay mechanics and blending these with toe-tappingly good chiptune sounds and synths. The studio has also confirmed four-player offline play, but has yet to detail any possible online play. There'll also be mid-level checkpoints, classic-designed cutscenes and promise for "epic boss battles" and support for both nunchuck and classic controller.

According to Joystiq, fans will also be able to grab any early version of the game at PAX this weekend.

Need points, naio!

Could be fun, though I didn't play the first one.

I just haven't been attracted to the Bit Trip games. They're probably fun but they look a little too simplistic. I may be wrong.

It reminds me of a more advance version of Squares 2. I may have to check this Bit.Trip out since I like Squares 2's simple gameplay.
