Ahead of the November release of World Of Zoo on Wii/DS/PC, THQ are offering users of the Interweb the chance to demo the PC version of the Animal Creator feature ahead of release. It's available as a download from the game's official website.
World Of Zoo is developed by Blue Fang, creators of the Zoo Tycoon series, and is a cartoon simulation that allows you to run a zoo however you see fit - though based on the style we can't imagine allowing your bear to maul through an infinite collection of penguins is going to be on the cards. Keep your animals happy and well-kept and you'll be on the way to earning a Magic Moment. Which presumably means they'll do something cute rather than Perry Como turning up to serenade you.
What of the Animal Creator, though? Well, in the PC version you'll be able to store and share your creations. There's been no indication that the same will hold true for the Nintendo versions as of yet, but you never know. We had a bash at the demo and can confirm that it's all the right levels of cute and cuddly, and it's possible to create some downright hilarious beasts by messing with colours, patterns, limbs and personality traits. Like this one, the slightly malnourished Cubey:
Or the latest member of Cubed3 staff and contender to usurp C3Bot, C3Panda.
As you collect National Geographic cards you'll unlock more parts to use in the creator, it seems. The demo gives you just enough to have a little play around with and get a taste for things. You can download the demo on the World Of Zoo website.
Have you tried the World Of Zoo Animal Creator? What do you think of it?
