Pokemon DS Keeps Nintendo on Top in Japan

Update - After checking out the first day sales (original story below), the full Media Create Top 50 and hardware chart has been released, showing that despite the strong first week for Tales of Vesperia on PlayStation 3, it does not manage to topple the unstoppable Pokemon duo of HeartGold and SoulSilver, which have currently sold through a massive 95% of their stock, with shortages being reported around the country.

Original Story - The first day sales figures for the latest releases in Japan have now been revealed. This week's biggest release appears to be the PlayStation 3 port of Tales of Vesperia from the Xbox 360. The game has sold more in its first day than any Tales RPG since back in the PS2 days, but can it sustain this pace and beat the 360 edition's total of ~200,000 units? The big Nintendo-related releases come in the form of SaGa 2, the 3D remake of Final Fantasy Adventure II from the Game Boy, Idolm@ster on DS, Forever Blue 2 for Wii and House of the Dead: Overkill on Wii.
Be sure to not only check the first day numbers, but the percentage sell-through of initial stock that can be seen in brackets:
