Castlevania WiiWare a Re-Make on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Classic Castlevania fans can sleep easy with new details from WiiWare outing, The Adventure Rebirth.

According to Japanese press, that's exactly what the forthcoming game will be - a rebirth, or remake if you will, of the Game Boy game, Castlevania: The Adventure. As well as updated graphics to 16-bit-style, there'll be a slew of new enemies, alerted level layouts and revamped music. Instead of climbable ropes, you may be pleased to know that there'll be stairs, and probably a whole load of them too!

The Adventure Rebirth is out at the end of the month, October 27th, in Japan and tentatively set for Q1 2010 in Europe.

Thanks to CVG.

What do you think of the project? Are you a fan of the GameBoy original?

Absolutely, it doesn't make sense to remake it for the Wii. I think it would do a lot better in the handheld market.

Considering the number of DSi hardware out there versus the number of total Wii Install base, Wii makes more sense right now if you want to reach a wider audience.

I think what these guys are saying are right! Maybe DS or Virtual Console but WiiWare maybe not. could look very good though don't underestimate Konami guys! ~ Tony C

Considering the DS already got three original Castlevania titles, and the Wii only got a poor fighting game, i think the Wii needs it more than the DS(i) does.
