Black Wii and Classic Controller Pro Head to Europe on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

European Wii fans are about to embrace the sleekness of black with new bundles and classic controller pro!

Tired of your regular white Wii and perhaps want a slice of black action? From 6th November in the UK and Ireland, and 20th November in Europe, Nintendo will be releasing a new "Limited Edition" Black Wii bundle, including complimenting remote, MotionPlus, Nunchuck, Wii Sports and its sequel, Resort.

Retro fans will also be able to grab a black Classic Controller pro, a revised edition of the Wii's classic controller. The various controllers, all in black, will be on sale in Europe from November 20th.

Nintendo didn't include pricing information in the announcement, however the bundle and accessories are likely to retail at a similar price.

Excellent! I know which Wii I'll be buying when mine bites the dust then! (I can just tell it's on its last legs)

As for the Classic Controller PRO, it does look way more comfortable than the original.

We didn't see this one coming....I'm not bothered about getting a black Wii. I only want the new controllers. Even though everything I own electrical is black (TV, Mouse, Keyboard, DS, Speakers, Headphones, External HDD) I like the White wii the way it is, breaks it up a little.
It's tempting, but no. I have a Wii and thats that.

Also, on the CCpro, Would of prfered the L and R buttons to have switched places with the Z buttons Smilie

Classic controller's neat but I'd definitely rather have a wireless version - whether it's like that or with the GameCube layout. Yus, the Wii remote itself is wireless, but you will notice it tethered on.

As for the black Wii, slick - should definitely pull in a fair few sales - would be good to have a red, blue and the instant-cash-grabbing pink one too.

I'm sure they can make a Classic Controller that's wireless! "Classic Controller Wave" perhaps.

VERY tempting. This might be the thing that finally pushes me to get a Wii. Not sure yet... Depends on the price. It wouldn't surprise me if the black Wii cost more than the white one, which I wouldn't be happy about. So we'll see what sort of pricing they come out with before I make this jump to the Wii yet.

And I really agree that the Classic Controller looks cool, but really should be wireless.

Meh, I\'ll just be picking up the black classic controller, then.

I do actually prefer the Wii in white, unlike the DS and such (I bought both my DSL and DSi in black).

For some reason I just associate brighter colours with home consoles and darker colours with handhelds, I guess Smilie

EDIT: Also, am I the only one that thinks the new Classic Controller looks a bit too similar to Sony\'s little pad of joy?

I do hope it\'s more comfortably shaped, otherwise I\'m fucked.

I wish I didn't bought a Wii back then, so it would make more sence to buy this black Wii-bundle now. The black colour fits very well on the Wii, even better than the white colour does (in my opinion). Smilie

English isn't my main-language, so I will possibly make some grammatical failures sometimes. But shit happends.

There\'s a trick to make it do that actually; link your computer and Wii together via email addresses, send a message from your computer, and never look at the page that contains the unopened letter. Voila, permanent Blue Light! Smilie

On topic, awesome look for the console. A red light would be great for this shade. Smilie

If I had £180 to throw away, I\'d buy one. My only problem would be all the Virtual Console and WiiWare games I\'ve bought on my current Wii. There\'d be no way of transferring them without sending both Wiis to Nintendo. Smilie

Even though I love the current classic controller I\'ve got, I don\'t think I can resist getting the black Pro. Smilie

It seems the Black Wii will be available EVERYWHERE except in the Americas. I own a launch Wii, so they could release it in Chrome Silver and I wouldn't buy one, but more options means more sales since there are SOME people that won't buy anything if it isn't a specific color.
