The US Nintendo channel has a tutorial video for Tony Hawk: RIDE - how players step on the board for the first time.

Those wondering how on earth Activision's skateboard accessory works in practice then look no further - the plastic board features infrared sensors to detect feet motion to lean, turn, hop and more!

    Thanks to GoNintendo.

    I think I prefer buttons.

And they're so nice for letting you step off the board if you lose your balance. I was afraid they would force you to smash into your TV and all.

At the Toys R Us stores in the US they have one of these setup in a kiosk to be able to see it and touch it. It is surprisingly cool looking when you see it in person.

I don't see how any person interested in skateboarding could not be exited about it.
