Excitebike Due for Nintendo WiiWare on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Excitebike: World Rally, to give the game its full name, will feature the series in it's classic 2D view, with similar gameplay mechanics. It will have a fully featured Track Editor, Multiple Control options, and most importantly, will allow for online play. Most surprising of all is that the game will be out in the Us in less than a fortnight, on November 9th. Be sure to check out the first footage of the game below.

Cool!

I might just have to download this. I'm guessing it'll be 1000 Wii Points.

Nintendo really likes the Excite franchise this generation. ExciteTruck is still one of my favorite racing games.

I'm guessing this is the 'Big Surprise' for online Wii owners?

I'm not a fan of the original game but this version looks more fun. The 2.5D look suits it. Online matches should be a laugh.

Was hoping for something more interesting considering Nintendo have so far left WiiWare to the 3rd Parties (not including Dr Mario).

This is definitely one of the better announcements from Nintendo in awhile.

T.T... Not saying it looks a bad game or anything, but im not jumping for joy either, huge dissapointment here.

Wow.
Exciting shit.

I'm cool with this, I played the original excitebike and it used to be cool back then. This seems to be decent AND it's a Wiiware game!

Awesome! Love it when they try something different!

Yes it does sound like the surprise Denise mentioned before. Very nice, and so soon too! Next... Zelda? Anyone? Smilie

I had to read the first sentence 5 times before I figured out that this was a new game instead of Excite Bike NES for Wiiware.

Looks like it could be ok, but I don't think I can enjoy the 2D gameplay for too long. A sequel to Excitebike 64, that would be something. Smilie

We'll, we have to wait for a price point but so far so good, specially with the online play. I'm guessing either 800 or 1000 wii points will be the price.

Now PLEASE Konami, release Castlevania Adventure Rebirth on the 2nd of November...

Their announcements of late are not that exciting in my opinion. Little surprises but nothing breath taking. Im Surprise nintendo hasnt shown off anything huge for motion plus (that isnt a collection of mini sports).

On another note I'm Surprised wario ware 2 hasnt been confirmed by now.
