Many believed that it would be too soon for a new DS, with the DSi being released last year after all. But Nintendo disagree, with the showing of the DSi LL.
As previously speculated, the unit will primarily be a DSi with larger screens (4.2 inches to be exact), and a previously unknown larger touch pen, alongside a standard stylus. The DSi LL will be 50% heavier than its predecessor, and will last 1-3 more hours on a charge depending on lighting conditions. Seeming confirming the unit's target audience of those with partial sight, the Dsi LL will come pre-installed with A Bit of Brain Training: Arts, A Bit of Brain Training: Science, and Kiyou Akira Rakuhiku Language Easier.
When closed, it looks closer to an original DS than anything else, and for the Japanese 20,000 yen release on November 21st, it'll be offered in three colours: red, white, and black. No word yet on an overseas release.
When comparing this new DS to the DSi, there is surprisingly little difference in form factor, or screen-stretching damage;
Would any DSi-less gamers here consider this upgrade?
Thanks to GoNintendo.
