Square Enix is taking control of yet another Taito classic and bringing it back to life on the Nintendo DS.

This time round it is the once thought to be long-lost Lufia RPG series. Not only is the series, still held in high regard by many role-playing aficionados, returning in general, but the fan-favourite 'Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals' is being used as the source material.

Estpolis: Lands Cursed by the Gods for the DS takes the original 2D sprite, turn-based RPG and transforms it into a 3D action RPG that somewhat resembles the DS Crystal Chronicles titles that has dual-screen boss battles thrown in for good measure. The official website for the game has now been launched and features three remixes of music from the Super Nintendo adventure.

Additionally, the first trailer can be seen here.
