    Aonuma Teases Zelda Transportation

The next Zelda is set to have a few surprises in store for fans new and old - could Link be taking to the skies?

There's always a new way of traveling about in Zelda games - we've had a horse, a boat, as a wolf and now a train. Producer Eiji Aonuma spoke to Eiji Aonuma on all things Zelda and mentioned a slight tease for series fans:

I have an eight-year-old son and he started playing The Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS. When he started playing with the boat, I told him: In the next Zelda, you are going to be able to ride on the train. He answered: OK, Dad, first boat, and then train? Surely next time, Link is going to fly in the sky...

If many people make many speculations, some of them might be correct...

    Thanks to Electricpig.

What do you think Link (or whoever we'll be playing as) will be transported on? Personally I'm gunning for a giant inflatable banana... with a pair of coconuts.

Since TP, I've wanted a game where Link transforms into many different animals, including an eagle.

But it's probably going to be a lame steampunk machine. IF Link is really going to fly.

Yeah if you ask me they should actually do what Capcom were planning to do about a decade ago.

Remake the first two Zelda games to make them more playable, and stick a small new third game in it too. Of course it'd all be in one cart/disc. Smilie

    One thing: MM remake :O:O:O:O:O

if they could also expand it a bit, in terms of side quests, that would be cool! expand a bit more the explorable places, and voila, Andre buys 100 copies on day one. They should do that for Wiiware or even like you said bundle 2-3 games in one disc, like Metroid Trilogy.

Honestly? I don't think a remake should be necessary unless a game can be improved on greatly, maybe it even needs a remake to be enjoyable. Games like Zelda I and II fit that description, but MM doesn't. MM has no shortage of anything, and no loose ends or plotholes that could possibly be filled from a remake.

Personally a graphical update just isn't worth remaking MM, on the offchance it loses all of its charm.

I'd love a MM remake maybe even MM on the DSi, but I'd love to explore more of the land in MM, the mountains, the ocean, etc. And ALTTP, or the Oracle Zeldas in Wind Waker graphics plox.

I want a creature that changes as the game progress\'s.
Purhapes starting as small wormy thing, then growing to a bit Spirited-Away/Luck-dragon esq flying creature.

This way Link has one creature he can grow attached too, and the creatures abilitys to get to places grows as the game goes on.

Id also like to see the ability to dig into the earth.
Hard to present, but imagine how cool it would be to \"fly underground\" to hidden Goron citys.

I think a remake of any of the past Zelda games, even OTT and MM, would be a waste of resources really. They were and are excellent games, especially for their time, but restructuring it and introducing new elements to bring them to today's standards would be a waste imo.

However I would like to perhaps see a dungeon based on elements of these past games, so perhaps like Banjo Nuts and Bolt's "Banjo World", where you'd have different parts from the older games encorporated into this section - otherwise you end up with the "TP effect", where it's just to similar.

Maybe even a "rift in time" where parts from past (and future) Hyrules are being blended together... somehow.

Love the idea of a creature growing with you, definitely - would love a little twist in the end where it turns on you, or it gets possessed by the enemy etc

But ya, having it "grow" as you progress through would be great!

I agree with Superlink and JB. If you are going to remake something, don't remake a game (or movie) that is already considered a classic and near perfection. I don't think many Zelda titles need to be remade, especially Majora's Mask, which is nearly perfect except for the older graphics.

If any were to be remade, I'd say the original NES Zeldas done in a Metroid Zero Mission style and released on the DS. I've attempted to play Zelda I and Zelda II but I can't get into them like I can a new Zelda game. Remaking them would allow many modern gamers to enjoy them.

It's the newer Zeldas that need to be made more like the older ones, not the other way around.
