    Nintendo: Wii're Not Slowing Down

Since the American price cut on the Wii, US sales have risen by up to 85%, claims Nintendo of America's executive vice president, Cammie Dunaway. Smiles all around, then! Well, except for the competitors, of course...

The system recently dropped in price from $249 to $199 across the pond. As a result Dunaway, taking time out from talking about Nintendogs, snowboarding and Wii Sports, has joyfully announced that Wii's momentum continues. Delightfully for them, that's contrary to what Sony have been saying about a slow down for the system.

    Thanks to Kotaku.

How long will Wii be able to keep up this momentum?

I think with a broader selection of games that are fun to play for longer periods then The Big N will keep a good clip. I have found amongst my people I know that they only need that one killer app that they personally can not put down to keep Nintendo in the hearts and minds of consumers.
