The US sales for November have now been revealed by the NPD Group and the results show that Nintendo stormed the hardware side of things, whilst nothing could prevent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from obliterating the competition, selling over six million units combined, whilst New Super Mario Bros. on Wii managed a stunning debut of nearly 1.4 million copies sold.

Check out the data below, provided by the NPD Group for the reporting period of 1st-28th November, 2009.

What are your thoughts on the strength of the Wii and DS sales? Also, Reggie said NSMB Wii would beat CoD: MW2 - can it win out by the end of the year?

I reckon that NSMBW, unless anything else comes out, will be at the top of December's chart. Many people (like me) are waiting for Christmas, while I think that anyone who wanted CoD:MW2 got it in the first week.

So Reggie could be right saying that NSMBW will outsell MW2 eventually. If not, at least it will be close.

I find it interesting that the DS is up on last years sales and the PSP is down on sales by nearly a third.

Sony aren't doing so well even after their latest PSPGo release and how is the DS still going up in sales after all these years.

What I find funny with what was the "biggest entertainment launch ever", Wii still beat 360 and PS3.

I usually steer clear from \'cinematic experiences\' like Halo, Call of Duty and Final Fantasy. More often than not they just make me laugh, especially when the characters are acting emotional.

The music and scripting of events is usually great though.
I think I\'ll just stick to proper cinematic experiences; in the cinema.

Only one set of games does this exceptionally well! It features a character code named ..."SNAKE"

Ah right, I think I've played that on my TI-83 calculator in school actually. Pretty fun game, but I couldn't really relate to the main character you know?
Which is a shame, because I do think there's some potential in that series.

    Oh well.

I think if your nintendo your laughing. If your a third party you know what two consoles to focus on.

You can stick to your tried and tested formulas pushing the cinematic blockbuster formula and sell millions. Jut read an article from matt on ign about nintendo being lazy and it perfectly sums up this year and nintendos practices and the people on this site.
