Thanks to an update on the OFLC, it has been revealed a Japanese-only Castlevania is finally heading West. The Australian ratings board is the source of many hidden treasures, recently unveiling the upcoming DS Sonic collection amongst others, and this time has revealed that Konami is set to bring the previously Japan-only release 'Castlevania: Rondo of Blood' to the Virtual Console at some point in the hopefully not-too-distant future. Considering it originally released in April 2008 on the Japanese Virtual Console, all hope of seeing a translation was lost...until now.
Previous reports had stated that due to the in-game Japanese text and voice work, it would never make it abroad. On top of this, Ironclad, an obscure Neo-Geo title that was planned for a US release but dropped, is getting a second chance.
Should Konami's faith in bringing Rondo of Blood over encourage Square Enix to do the same with its Japanese-only NES/SNES RPGs?

Now this is what VC is for, i know this is going to make alot of people happy :3
Still dont care about Sonic DS though, those sonic oldies been re-released atleast 1 console per generation since the SEGA Saturn, yes, they are classic and fun to play, the first few times, not the billionth and it being on a different console wont make a difference!

Nintendo confirmed I'll be getting the 3 commemorative RPG coins. YEAH !

I downloaded it a long time ago on the Japanese Wii Shop when Nintendo hadn\'t patched its servers yet to prevent Region modified Wiis from downloading games from another region.
Since it seems that the policy at Nintendo is to forbid editors to translate their old titles for the service, a translation of the in-game japanese texts is not to be expected. Therefore i\'ll skip it, since the PAL offering will most probably be the same as the japanese that i already own.
