Sega Confirm Mii Support in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In the company's official blog, Sega of America has gone on record to announce that there will be a special feature included in its upcoming multi-format racing game, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. However, this special feature will not be found in any edition of the game other than the Wii version. So what treat can Wii owners expect to find? The inclusion of Mii characters! Nintendo has given SEGA express permission to include an option for gamers to select their favourite Mii avatars in the eagerly awaited racing game.

SEGA are pleased to confirm that Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing will allow you to race as your Mii on the Nintendo Wii version of the game. Take on the likes of Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Ryo and Amigo, as your Mii races towards the checkered flag on tracks inspired by your favorite SEGA worlds! Winning is only part of the fun in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing! Each character, including your Mii, can unleash a unique All Star move specific to them, allowing a quick way for competitors to get back into the race!

With this addition being similar to the Avatars that are being added to the Xbox 360 version, could there be more characters to come considering Banjo and Kazooie are also playable on the Microsoft edition? And what do you think of the Wii screens?

Miis? So much for all star! Smilie

I deserve to be in this game alongside Sonic. It was obvious.

Now my brilliance can be recognised. Next, my pointless and obviously too early in my lifetime autobiography.

Seems like the PS3 version will be the most lacking now Smilie

Wow! Now I can actually do something with those God forsaken Miis.

And you're an idiot.

I saw this coming MILES away(Get it? Get it? Sonic humor :p). Mario Kart did the same thing, so know these guys have to. I'm looking forward to it.

And what do you mean "more characters"? With the Mii system, any and every possible character is playable.Smilie

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

Actually, the Ps3 version might use HOME avatars. Kinda like the XBOX360 version might use their avatars.

Might use Avatars? The Avatars were revealed for it like a month ago! Which is why I mentioned the PS3 only, since I really don't think HOME avatars would be at home in this game.

I long for the days that Banjo Kazooie is back on a Nintendo console...Hell, I\' long for the days of just another B-K adventure!!!

This game looks fun for the fans. I don\'t know who else they\'ll add. It\'s anybody\'s guess. If they haven\'t already probably Mario or Issac Washington!!!
