Hudson have revealed new footage from upcoming Wii platformer/action title, Tower of Shadow (Lost in Shadow).

Take control of a young boy who attempts to climb a giant abandoned tower. The twist? You'll be taking control of his shadow, making your way on shadows of safe platforms and avoiding those of dangers and traps. When he needs a new light source, a butterfly companion can shift and control lighting to help him move onwards and upwards!

Looks nice, but am I thick or doesn't the shadow platforming bring anything innovative to the table instead of just graphical style? I can't see it in that video.

Hm it definitely raised some interest for me.

Must have for me.

When the light source changes it should bring some twists. Some of the screenshots seem to show this.

Yes I see it in that pillar one. Could turn out very good then.

Well, if light changes and you're mid-jump to a platform...

Wow, the mini-interactive-trail on their website makes it look fantastic.
Really demos the gameplay nicely...far better then the trailer videos.

Hm it's not a WiiWare game, is it? There's no way I'm paying a retail price for this.

I feel like saying this game isn't worth retail price based on a single trailer would be like saying Ico isn't worth retail price based on a screenshot of it.

Theres a few more on the website, including a semi-interactive gameplay demostration.

This is far more attractive then Nintendo's 2D stuff as far as innovation goes.
(and thats not insulting Nintendo, I'm just saying if Warioland shake and NMB deserves full release's, then theres no reason this doesnt).
