SEGA has Violence Threesome with MadWorld, Conduit & HOTD

SEGA's selection of mature games for Wii may not have done as well as expected, but the publisher won't give up without a fight.

In order to rack up more interest in these titles, and probably get rid of excess copies laying dormant in stockrooms, SEGA will be bundling together three Wii games into a neat little package. If the premise of shooting aliens, zombies and chain-sawing people doesn't instantly shout out "mature", the package will be called Welcome to Violence.

The threesome of Wii games has been confirmed down under, for AUS$110 (£60/$100/€70). No release date or plans for other regions have been announced, though it's fairly likely something similar would be coming to Europe/North America at some point.

What do you think of the bundle? Would you shell out for three well received Wii-exclusive mature games?

THats a rubbish deal!!!! lol. I can pick up madworld for £5 any where. HOTD for £10 and the conduit for no more then £20 thats £35 for all 3.

HOTD was boring and point and shoot is not fun without a proper gun peripheral that calibrates almost perfectly with your TV and without lag and a silly reticule on screen.

Madworld suffers from using motion gestures instead of mimicing 1to1 motion. Poor control layout. Why no pinching the control to pick up baddies? Short and no depth.

Conduit I never bought because it looks generic through and through and art style is dull.

Its not so much violence SEGA. Its maturity like heavy rain, uncharted, bioshock, GTA. Those are games that incorporated violence because it fits not work around violence.

Exactly what i was about to say! Although i can see it retailing for £49.99 here, although i guess that probably would be wishful thinking.

I wouldnt mind picking this up but only for £20 tops! lol

Haha, I would have to feel sorry for the Aussies gamers if this is the only taste of violence they get.

Actually you can pick up the conduit for £9 on Play.com free delivery. So your getting mugged paying anything more then £25 for all 3.

Anyone wanting the sleeve to insert all three. Well I would recommend stealing it. lol. or create your own

Bad deal, Madworld is a $15 game, The Conduit is $30 if it is lucky and HOD is a $20-$30 game. I think all three should go for $50 at max.

    Couple things:
Conduit isn't rated M and isn't that violent.
MadWorld is usually $20 new, House of the Dead I think is anywhere between $20 and $50, and everyone is saying Conduit is $30 but I've never seen it that low, just the retail price of $50. So considering I could buy these separately for a maximum of $120, it's an okay deal at best. Coupled with the fact that I already own The Conduit, it's a complete pass, for me. I still want to try Mad World and I definitely need to pick up HOD sometime (as much as I hate rail shooters, the dialogue and story absolutely sold it for me; it's just too damn funny not to buy.)
If you like fantasy horror fiction, please check out a short story I wrote, called "Hole."

It's completely free to download. If you enjoy it, please also check out a collection called "Dark Things." This one is $.99, but the first two stories are free.

Well your quoting american prices (im guessing by the dollar signs) In the UK you can get all 3 games dirt cheap $10 for madworld $18 each for the other 2. As for the dialogue of HOTD. Not convinced. Gets old and boring very quickly.

Mmm - would need to be a LOT cheaper in the UK, £30, £40 at a right stretch. The games can be found individually for dirt cheap. Especially MadWorld - £6?!

I'd say £30 at most. I've got all 3 games already, they are good games, they just don't last long enough, although, I haven't played through the uncut part of Overkill yet.

Can't agree with the pricing, but with any luck this'll help these three find more sales they deserve. Smilie
