Shaun White Ditches Snow For Skateboarding

Shaun White may still be buzzing from achieving his second gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics with unprecedented flair for tricks. However, the snowboarding champion will be stepping off the mountain and switching to a smaller ride to bust some moves in the skate park.
Other than the official game announcement, its development by Ubisoft Montreal and the fact that it will be released in the upcoming holiday season, not much else is known about the game. The announcement came following talks with Shaun White with KROQ radio, where he was thoroughly very excited about the title.
"I can't describe how excited I am about the skateboard game," said Shaun White. "We've been working on it for a while now and it's ready to melt minds."
"As we've just seen at the Olympics, Shaun is a one-of-kind action sports athlete," said Tony Key, U.S. senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "Shaun's enthusiasm for skateboarding shines through in this truly unique game."

With Tony Hawk's: Ride suffering from bad reviews and a rather high price tag, is it time for 'The Flying Tomato' to take centre stage with his 'mind-melting' antics? If it's anything like Shaun's previous forays with his snowboarding antics, then this could turn out well.
What do you think about the shift from snowboarding to skateboarding? And, With big name titles such as Skate and Tony Hawks, will Shaun's new game bring any innovation to the table and set itself apart from them?

You know, Shaun White is a pretty cool dude, and I respect him so much for bring home two golds for the greatest country on earth, but if a snowboarding game doesn't have the title SSX Tricky, I'm not getting it.
