5th Cell is drawing up a sequel for its unique DS puzzler/action game Scribblenauts.

A post on NeoGAF confirms a few of the juicy details, that like the previous game it'll be a DS-exclusive project crafted by 5th Cell. Some of the niggles have also been improved, including better stylus input, the option to use the D-pad and a better camera.

Whilst the game is for Nintendo's ickle DS, 5th Cell promises updates to the physics engine to pave the way for solving puzzles with more specific objects/deeper levels of context. There are also 10,000 new adjectives with the ability to string some together for totally different objects.

The sequel is heading into stores this Autumn.

Where you a fan of the original Scribblenauts? Will you be interested in an improved sequel?

I wish my issue would finally arrive... Smilie

At first, I was writing this off ( Smilie ) as just another way to suck money from me, but if I can play Scribblenauts with improved controls, I'm in!

Glad to hear. The first was a monumentally fantastic idea that just lacked polish. Hopefully with the second they'll get the execution down.

Glad to hear they're working on the physics engine too. That's one aspect of the game that generally performed admirably, but then had moments where it went absolutely crazy.
