EA Gets Active on Wii Once More

Prepare to shed a few more pounds with the sequel to EA Sports Active, the multiplatform EA Sports Active 2.0, revealed at GDC 2010.

As well as the direct follow-up on Wii, the updated exercise game will be branching off onto the PS3 and iPhone/touch platforms. Both the console editions will now come with revised peripherals â€" a pair of wireless bands complete with motion sensors and a heart rate monitor when the blood starts to flow.

Like the original you claw these onto your arms and legs and follow a series of on-screen routines. You'll also be able to share progress online over an EA Fitness network and see what's working best.



EA Sports Active 2.0 (working title) will be available later this year.
