Wipeout To Hit Wii And DS

Those of you who glanced at the title may be feeling slightly mislead, sadly it is not Wipeout the racer, but rather a game based upon ABC's TV smash hit that features outlandish obstacles for contestants to overcome. This hilarious show is now set to put viewers in the show itself with the title produced by Activision arriving on shelves at some point this summer.

Wipeout: The Game sticks very closely to the TV show with commentary by the hosts; John Anderson, John Henson and Jill Wagner. Players will be able to engage in the wacky courses which include the likes of the 'Sucker Punch' and 'Big Balls' with three other mates whilst hurling objects and taunting their opponents.

For the past 2 summers, ABC’s Wipeout has continued to splash its way into the homes of millions of American families. We are excited to partner with Activision to bring family-friendly, laugh-out-loud fun into people’s living rooms in a whole new way,” says Mia Rondinella, Vice President of Business Planning & Development, ABC Entertainment Group

Wipeout is set to launch just in time for the game show's third season in America this summer, and hopes to bring all the chaos of the programme straight to the living room for some all out family fun, thrills and, what the show is well known for, hilarious fails.

Will Wipeout's crazy action be a must for Wii and DS owners? And do you think it will be able to capture what makes the show so entertaining?

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

Ahh the show isn't as good as either Takeshi's Castle or Ninja Warrior.

What I don't get about this is that it's filmed in Argentina.

Still, don't see how it can be more than just a few mini-games.

Nothing can best Takeshi's Castle or Ninja Warrior (although they're different).
