Japanese Sales, 10th-16th May, 2010

The latest sales for 10th-16th May, 2010 have now been collated, and for the third week in a row, Square Enix is victorious with Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 holding onto the top spot again, now surpassing the million mark and currently tracking ahead of any other entry into the Dragon Quest Monsters series. For those wondering how Mario Kart Wii has managed to find its way back into the Top 10 lately, it is due to a new TV advertising campaign from Nintendo, showing that even older releases can strongly benefit from a new push, which is also why Super Smash Bros. Brawl continues to linger further down the chart as well.

On the hardware side, all systems take a heavy hit, with Wii especially hit hard, falling below the PS3 once more this year, but the DS family manages to slightly keep its head above the PSP models.
